Devon Ysaguirre is an Associate Director at Democracy Fund, an independent foundation working to ensure that our political system is able to withstand new challenges and deliver on its promise to the American people.
Devon is most recently from Humanity United, where she stewarded the Strategy, Learning and Impact practice. During her tenure at HU, she operationalized its systems practice, led the development and implementation of its monitoring, evaluation, and learning approach, and built out complexity-enabled impact frameworks. She believes that complex systems require creative approaches to impact assessment and that continuous learning enables adaptability in strategy, and she designed and facilitated strategy and learning conversations toward this end. Prior to HU, she worked on post-conflict and refugee issues and human rights for the U.S. government, U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, UNHCR and NGOs working on M&E, leading and developing programmatic strategy, and building partnerships. She serves as a pro bono partner to the Buffet-McCain Institute Initiative to Combat Modern Slavery, where she led the creation of the program learning infrastructure.
She received her M.A. of Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and her B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College.
