Colton Ferrell is a Communications Manager at Democracy Fund, an independent foundation working to ensure that our political system is able to withstand new challenges and deliver on its promise to the American people. In this role, he advises and supports the Just and Inclusive Society (JIS) program, Civic Culture Lab, and various special projects to strengthen the communications strategies of the organization.
Prior to joining Democracy Fund, Colton handled communications for Planned Parenthood Texas Votes during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 and 2022 elections, the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturning the right to abortion, and its aftermath. He has spent his career working in the nonprofit sector with focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
A proud Texas native, Colton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southwestern University.
