Lise Woods Fink is the Senior Advisor for Talent Acquisition at Democracy Fund, an independent foundation working to ensure that our political system is able to withstand new challenges and deliver on its promise to the American people. As part of the People team, Lise supports Democracy Fund with a focus on talent attraction and employee engagement across the organization, diversity and inclusion, organizational design, and other community and brand expansion efforts.
Lise joined Democracy Fund in 2016 , and has 20 years of blended experience across recruiting, human capital, publicity and production. Most recently she oversaw talent and community curation at First Look Media, where she also had responsibility for recruiting across all levels of the organization and worked to clarify and nurture narrative strategies to grow FLM’s overall community and brand.
Prior to FLM, Lise served as a member of Omidyar Network’s Human Capital team where she focused on executive search, talent management, and organizational design and development. Additionally, she provided support and advice to ON’s grantee network, partner organizations, and in the formation of Civil Beat, Democracy Fund, and First Look Media.
Prior to joining ON, Lise spent six years at Apple, first as a member of the executive recruiting team, then as a product development manager where she spearheaded company-wide human capital initiatives, including the creation of “Getting Started” — its global employee onboarding portal; and finally as a senior HR manager for the Hardware Engineering team, supporting an ever-growing and complex workforce. Prior to Apple, Lise spent six years at Twentieth Century Fox working first as a part of their award-winning International Publicity team and then in the office of the President at Fox 2000, its premier women-led production unit.
