Nora is a Program Associate at Democracy Fund, an independent foundation working to ensure that our political system is able to withstand new challenges and deliver on its promise to the American people. Nora supports the Justice and Inclusive Society program in its mission to protect the rights of the most marginalized communities facing threats in the U.S. Nora supports strategy development and grantmaking, and provides expertise and guidance to JIS grantees.
Nora brings community-based participatory research expertise from the Urban Institute. At Urban, she worked to engage people with lived experience in the design and implementation of research and technical assistance projects as well as in the development of community-based interventions. Prior to Urban, she interned at Hopeprint, where she worked on efforts to foster community and self-sufficiency and to improve the quality of life for newly arrived refugee families. Nora holds a BA in economics from Brown University.
