Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative (MuslimARC) focused on building capacity within Muslim and allied communities for racial justice. MuslimARC creates anti-racism curriculum and education resources, connects multi-racial and multi-faith networks via storytelling and media, and cultivates racial justice through leadership and community development programs.
Shoulder to Shoulder
Shoulder to Shoulder, a fiscally sponsored project of The National Religious Campaign Against Torture, trains faith and community leaders to address Islamophobia in their communities.
Justice Work
Justice Work is a think tank/action lab that incubates path-breaking and creative initiatives to advance social justice. They center marginalized voices to challenge conventional priorities and strategies. They develop long-term partnerships with front-line organizations and academic institutions to strengthen social justice movements and break down siloed spaces.
University of Maryland
This grant supports a collaborative research initiative led by the University of Maryland (UMD) in partnership with the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC) and the Millennial Action Project (MAP). This research explores the behavioral and psychological aspects of political cooperation to counteract polarization in American government.
Participatory Budgeting Project Inc.
This general operating grant will provide support Participatory Budgeting Project to grow and strengthen their ability to engage local communities at a moment when interest in democratic engagement is increasing. The grant will help spread the participatory budgeting processes across the United States.
William J. Brennan, Jr. Center for Justice, Inc.
The Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program’s Emergency Powers Project seeks to bolster checks on the use of emergency powers through legal research, developing reforms that limit emergency powers, preparing for potential invocations of emergency powers in the context of the 2020 election, and educating the public about these issues.
Welcoming America Inc.
Democracy Fund will provide general operating support to Welcoming America to support their work to promote more welcoming communities in the United States.
URI Foundation & Alumni Engagement
