Charlie Lobeck is the Senior Partnerships Associate at Democracy Fund, an independent foundation working to ensure that our political system is able to withstand new challenges and deliver on its promise to the American people. As Partnerships Associate, Charlie supports the emerging Philanthropic Partnerships department’s efforts to foster collaboration within philanthropy that drives resources to programs that protect and expand American democracy.
Prior to joining Democracy Fund, Charlie worked as Partner Services Program Manager for the Democracy Alliance, a network of progressive funders. In this role, he managed prospect research, onboarded new members, and developed engagement plans for new and prospective members. He has also served as the Elections and Electoral Processes Project Associate at the National Democratic Institute, where he coordinated outreach with the NDI-funded global network of civil society activists and prepared for NDI’s international election observation missions in Afghanistan and Ukraine. Additionally, Charlie has experience mentoring teenagers and children living in high-risk environments and affected by a parent’s cancer.
Charlie graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in political science.
